Females in whelp eat a diet of raw duck meat with Zigniture duck grain free kibble; along with a variety of supplements. Our puppies are weaned on Royal Canin puppy formula and then transitioned into Zigniture duck by the age of 7-8 weeks. It has a very high fat content and the puppies do very well on it. All mothers and puppies receive tons of love. We go to great lengths to ensure all puppies leave our home as healthy as possible and ready to become a greatly anticipated addition to your family. All mothers and puppies receive quality veterinary care for the duration of pregnancy and their stay at our home. No puppy will leave our home without a veterinary health certificate, up to date shots, completely free of external and internal parasites or without a perfect coat. All puppies will also come with AKC registration papers, which will either be full or limited rights, depending on individual circumstance. If AKC papers are not available by the time the puppy is shipped to you, they will be mailed to you as soon as we have received them. Puppies will also come with professional quality pictures from birth to the time they are shipped, as a celebration of their life.
Vaccination/De Worming/Feeding Guidelines:
French Bulldogs are an amazing breed of dog to own and to raise. They are full of character and personality. They do require careful care, as they are a bulldog breed and are prone to certain conditions, such as heat stroke. Please ensure all puppies are kept cool and with a constant supply of clean water. As advised by our veterinarian, we feed all of our Frenchies a grain free diet, which we strongly urge you to maintain. Grain free or raw diets greatly limit skin and health problems as well as help your companion to live a long, healthy life. Healthy diets also greatly lower the risk of parasite infestation, such as fleas. We like Zigniture Duck kibble and Small Batch raw duck meat, among others. As far as vaccinations, it is recommended that puppies receive a series of three at ages 6, 10 and 14 weeks of age. They will come with their first and possibly second vaccination administered with us, and it will be your responsibility to ensure they receive their third vaccination as well as rabies shot at 16 weeks of age. As far as de-worming, puppies will be de-wormed here at 2, 4, 6, 8 and possibly 12 weeks of age. After the age of 3 months, puppies should continue to be de-wormed once a month until the age of 6 months, at which time a monthly heartworm medication should commence. We de-worm every 3 months after the age of 6 months, however it is up to you and the advice of your veterinarian how you choose to de-worm your companion. Puppies should also receive a monthly flea preventative. Take care to not apply any flea medicine before the age of 12 weeks and follow the advice of your veterinarian in choosing a flea preventative that is right for you and your puppy. We do not recommend taking your new puppy to any public places, to include pet stores, until all shots have been administered.
Health Guarantee:
We provide all of our puppy owners with a 12-month (1 year) guarantee against life threatening genetic conditions. If your veterinarian discovers that your puppy has a life threatening genetic condition by the age of 12 months, we will replace the puppy with another of equal value. As we understand all puppies become a part of your family, we will not ask for the puppy to be returned to us should this happen, but we will be willing to take the puppy back at your request. All vet costs and shipping costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser. We do ask that proof of your puppy’s condition be sent to us directly from your vet, and we reserve the right to request a second opinion at a different vet, which we will pay for. If the second vet doesn’t agree that the puppy has a life threatening genetic condition, you may opt to pay a 3rd vet for a final diagnoses. **Purchaser is responsible for shipping costs for replacement puppy, seller is responsible for fees associated with vaccinations and health certificate.**
All genetic conditions must be diagnosed by a vet by the age of 12 months. We reserve the right to request a second opinion by a veterinarian of our choice at our expense to make a final diagnosis. This final diagnosis will be the determining factor in whether the puppy will be replaced. You may keep, with PROOF OF SPAY/NEUTER, the dog/puppy we are replacing or you may return the puppy to us. THESE ARE THE ONLY TWO OPTIONS. No replaced dogs/puppies are to be resold or in any way rehomed. This includes to “kennel partners.” If a puppy has been rehomed, for any period of time, including kennel partners, with the exception of normal board for the purpose of work/vacation, all above listed heath guarantees will be void.
***YOU MUST HAVE YOUR NEW PUPPY SEEN BY YOUR VET WITHIN 72 HOURS OF RECEIVING THEM. PLEASE RETAIN PROOF OF THIS VET VISIT. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PROOF OF THIS VET VISIT, YOUR HEALTH GUARANTEE WILL BE VOID***
***HEALTH GUARANTEE IS VOID ONCE YOUR DOG HAS PRODUCED ONE LITTER***
